The Popeea oak furniture range was developed for Casa Popeea, a boutique hotel within the historic Hellenic quarter of Brăila, Romania. The design by Manea Kella was executed in collaboration with Tracon’s carpentry division and comprises desks, benches and stools (Fig 01-03). All items from the family are made from solid oak. The designs are modern and versatile, characterised by the pure use of material coupled with a clear and elegant design.
The desks feature a signature horizontal bar, a playful array of supporting legs, hidden joints and no visible screws (Fig. 04-06). With two different oak finishes, the series is suitable for both private and public spaces. It is available in oiled and stained oak.
The entire range is hand made in Transylvania, Romania.
